Urgent Case: Praewa and Family

Help stabilize Praewa's family after a tragic road collision

Meet Praewa, a beautiful and bright 11 year old girl carrying an unimaginable burden - assuming the role of primary care giver for her entire family: her blind and paralyzed mother, her blind and cancer-diagnosed father, and her younger brother.

In late February 2026, Praewa's mother was critically injured in a motorcycle taxi collision involving a 10-wheeled truck. The resulting paralysis has created an immediate care crisis for a household that was already living with severe economic vulnerability.

Praewa's father is also undergoing cancer treatment, further compounding the family's medical and financial strain, leaving Praewa to now care for both her parents as well as her younger brother, all while trying to maintain her studies.

Both parents are disabled and had supported the family by selling lottery tickets. With the mother's condition now requiring extensive support at home, the family faces both medical strain and lost income at the same time.

Praewa is a full-time student under the care and tutelage of HDF Mercy Centre. The purpose of this campaign is to preserve stability around her education while the foundation manages aid with transparency and documented oversight.

Funds are presented here as managed by HDF Mercy Centre, not as a direct personal collection.

Why a foundation-led model

Transparency and donor confidence

The site emphasizes structured stewardship instead of an informal personal fundraiser. That reduces credibility risk, makes reporting clearer, and gives donors a legitimate institution to evaluate.

Foundation collection

Collect into a verified HDF Mercy Centre account or sub-ledger, not a personal card or bank account.

Beneficiary verification

Confirm legal names, relationship, beneficiary approval, and supporting medical documentation.

Restricted fund purpose

State that donations are restricted to documented care, recovery, and family support expenses.

Donor reporting

Provide regular updates on total raised, disbursements, and remaining needs.

Compliance checkpoints

Before taking real payments

This prototype can be shown internally now, but public launch should wait until the foundation validates the campaign structure, beneficiary identity, and payment account ownership.

Use only an account owned by HDF Mercy Centre or its authorized legal entity, and confirm the processor permits Thailand-based charitable collections.
Do not describe the fund in a way that implies tax-deductibility unless confirmed by counsel and local rules.
Keep beneficiary documents, fund purpose, and disbursement records in case the payment processor or a bank requests support.
Confirm that local Thai legal/finance advisers are comfortable with the collection and payout structure.
Publish only verified medical and family details to avoid privacy, defamation, or misleading-fundraising issues.
